About Carinya House of Hair & Beauty
Carinya House of Hair & Beauty is located in Toukley on the NSW Central Coast. Our stunning salon was initially created with the vision to offer a luxurious and relaxed salon experience for guests and a happy, harmonious working environment for talented, committed Hairdressers and Beauty Therapists. It’s our belief that if our employee’s are happy, our customers will be happy. We go to great lengths to ensure that we offer a beautiful working environment and at the core of everything we do, there is hard work, respect, trust, fun and laughter.
We have a keen interest in training future Hairdressers and take great pride in helping them to reach their personal and professional goals. We encourage all of our Apprentices to dare to be their best and because of our belief in them, they often surprise themselves. Nothing makes us more proud than to see Apprentices that we’ve trained growing their own clientele from our happy customers.
When we recruit new Hairdressers and Beauty Therapists, we are focussed on seeking new Team Members with the right attitude and a genuine desire to deliver the very best customer service experience to all of our salon Guests. We provide the very best of training to ensure that our Salon Guests always receive the very best quality of service.
We are often asked who Carinya is. In fact, Carinya is not a person involved in the business, but rather an Aboriginal name that reflects what we want to offer our Salon Guests as well as the Hairdresser’s and the Beauty Therapists that work with us. As with many Aboriginal names/words, there are sometimes differences in meaning, often based on geographic location. However, the one that resonates with us, means ‘happy, harmonious home’.
We want our Salon Guests and our valued Hairdresser’s and Beauty Therapists to feel ‘at home’ and happy at Carinya House of Hair & Beauty.

Salon Owner
In addition to working in Business Development for many years, Sharon has always had a passion for fashion, hair and beauty. Knowing that one day she would create a creative workplace for passionate hairdressers and beauty therapists, Sharon studied Beauty Therapy, Make-up Artistry and Nail Technology at Petersham T.A.F.E and achieved distinctions across all qualifications. Relocating to the Central Coast of NSW in 2014 provided the perfect opportunity to create a family business, offering quality hairdressing and beauty services in Toukley. With many years of experience, looking after Tier one clients, Sharon knows how to appreciate, respect and maintain client relationships.
Salon Manager
Danielle is a very passionate Hairdresser, with over thirteen years of hairdressing experience. During her hairdressing apprenticeship, Danielle worked in busy Westfield salons before moving to high-end successful boutique salons in Sydney. Danielle has exceptional skills, knows whats important to clients and how to deliver a superior level of service. Danielle’s drive and determination were directly behind the creation of Carinya House of Hair & Beauty.
Who knows what Danielle will continue to achieve throughout her career, what we are sure of, is that she will continue to grow and will always exceed the expectations of our salon guests.
Salon Coordinator - Beauty Therapist
Gabrielle first completed her training in beauty, before deciding to also become a hairdresser. With over thirteen years of experience working in busy Westfield salons and a high-end salon in Sydney, Gabrielle moved to the Central Coast and joined Carinya House of Hair & Beauty. Gabrielle has been there from day one and has been an integral part of Carinya’s establishment and will continue to support our future development. Gabrielle has exceptional skills in beauty and hairdressing, these skills are utilised every day at Carinya House of Hair & Beauty and Gabrielle is an absolute asset to the team.
3rd Year Apprentice
Hanah, came to Carinya House of Hair & Beauty as a junior Hairdressing Apprentice and it’s been an absolute pleasure to watch as her hairdressing skills and confidence have grown. Hanah has proven to be very competent across all aspects of hairdressing and also provides a variety of beauty services with confidence and utter professionalism. Hanah has the most delightful personality and is very well respected by the entire team and our salon guests. We are excited to be a part of Hanah’s professional growth in the hairdressing industry and will continue to offer her our encouragement and support throughout her career.
2nd Year Apprentice
We are currently recruiting and are meeting with some wonderful new candidates. As soon as we have made an appointment for this position, we will update you here.
We also have a new 1st Year Apprentice, Tahlia and a new 2 day a week Work Experience assistant, Chantelle. We are working on getting their photo’s and Bio’s done and will soon introduce them to you properly. In the meantime, please make them both feel welcome when you visit the salon.
We are also ready to recruit a new Senior Stylist, so if you are interested, or know of someone suitable that is, feel welcome to contact Danielle.
